Speech-to-text, enhancement, speaker separation, and summarization all run on-device. There is no cloud transcription and no cloud inference — local-only is the product, not a setting you have to find. The network is used only for downloading models, activating your license, checking for updates, and optional anonymous analytics you can turn off.

Does Whryte work offline?
Yes. Dictation and meeting transcription run entirely on-device, so they keep working with no internet connection. The network is only needed for the initial model download, license activation, and updates.
Is my audio or transcript ever uploaded?
No. Speech-to-text, enhancement, speaker separation, and summaries are all processed by models on your Mac. There is no cloud transcription and no cloud inference — your recordings and text stay on the machine.
Is it a subscription?
No. Whryte is a one-time purchase of $29 for one license. There's no recurring charge.
How do updates work?
Whryte checks for updates and installs them in place. Your license keeps working, and the models you already have stay exactly as they are unless you choose to update.
I lost my license key. What now?
